A meeting was held with Amir Ali Sardari Iravani, the grandson of the Iravan Khan, who is visiting Azerbaijan.
The event titled *“The Iravan Khanate – A Glorious Chapter in Azerbaijan’s History”* was organized by the Public Union “For the Social Welfare of Citizens.” The event was opened by the Chairperson of the organization, Irada Rzazade, who provided information about its purpose and significance and introduced Amir Ali Sardari Iravani, who had come to Azerbaijan at the invitation of the Union.
At the meeting, Jabi Bahramov, Executive Director of the Institute of History of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, PhD in History, and Professor, along with PhD in History Elchin Garayev, delivered presentations on *“The Role of the Iravan Khanate in Azerbaijani History.”* Participating historians and representatives of civil society shared their views on this important and glorious period in Azerbaijan’s history.
Amir Ali Sardari Iravani, a descendant of Iravan Khans Huseynali Khan and Mohammad Khan, spoke about his family history, the heritage of the Iravan Khanate, and the importance of preserving this historical memory.
