NGO Chairperson Forcibly Expelled from Iravan Speaks in The Hague on the Armenization of Our Toponyms

An important international conference has been held at the "Nieuwspoort" media center of the House of Representatives (Tweede Kamer) of the Parliament of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in The Hague. The event, jointly organized by the Cooperation Center of Azerbaijanis and Other Turkic-Speaking Peoples (ATXƏM) and the Congress of Benelux Azerbaijanis (BAK) with the support of the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations, was dedicated to the theme "The Concept of Return to Western Azerbaijan and Community Members in Europe."

QHT.az reports that Irada Rizazade, Chairperson of the "For the Social Welfare of Citizens" Public Union, who was forcibly expelled from Iravan in 1988, spoke on behalf of our displaced compatriots. She addressed the systematic destruction of historical, religious, and cultural monuments belonging to Azerbaijanis subjected to ethnic cleansing in present-day Armenia, as well as the Armenization of our ancient toponyms.

During the speech, it was specifically emphasized that while the Armenian side has attempted for decades to completely erase the historical traces of Azerbaijanis in Iravan, historical facts and documents irrefutably prove who the original owners of these territories are.
