Nadima Rahimli spoke at the side event titled “Global Housing Crisis and the Path Towards Fair Treatment of Migrants”, organized by the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) with the participation of the Special Rapporteur.

I emphasized once again that the housing and residential rights of Azerbaijanis forcibly deported from Armenia have been violated. After the event, I met directly with the Special Rapporteur of the High Commissioner, personally informing them that my family was among the deportation victims, and requested international organizations’ support for the return of hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijanis deported from Armenia and the restoration of their right to live in their own homes.
