The Role of NGOs in the Implementation of the Concept of Return to Western Azerbaijan Was Discussed

At the conference hall of the Azerbaijan National NGO Forum, a round-table discussion titled "The role of NGOs in the implementation of the Concept of Return to Western Azerbaijan" was organized at the initiative of the "For the Social Welfare of Citizens" Public Union.

The event, moderated by the chairperson of the Public Union, Irada Rizazade, featured extensive discussions on the following key areas:

Strategic action: The role of civil society institutions in realizing the "Concept of Return to Western Azerbaijan";

International cooperation: Establishing business relations with international organizations on the subject and informing foreign audiences;

Accountability: Projects implemented regarding Western Azerbaijan during 2024 and the results achieved;

Future plans: Priority tasks planned for implementation in 2025.

Members of the Supervisory Board of the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations, Nureddin Mehdiyev and Zaur Ibrahimli, the head of the Agency's Project Management Department, Elnur Bagirli, the chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan National NGO Forum, Ramil Iskandarli, as well as NGO representatives and field experts participated in the event and shared their proposals and opinions.

During the discussions, it was emphasized that the definition of the return to Western Azerbaijan as a national goal places a duty on NGOs to operate with greater responsibility and in a more systematic manner.
