The event aimed to raise awareness about the spread and forms of climate disinformation, promote the integrity of climate-related information, and activate global commitments to protect it from disinformation threats.

Moderated by Eva Morelin, Secretary-General of Quota Climat, and Sherri Aldis, Secretary-General of Data for Good, the event featured two panels. Speakers included Benoit Faraco, Advisor to the President of France on Energy, Environment, Transport, and Agriculture; Joao Brant, Secretary of Digital Policies to the President of Brazil; and Katarzyna Wrona, Head of the Polish Government Delegation participating in SB62 on climate matters.

In my presentation, I highlighted the targeted disinformation campaigns against Azerbaijan during COP29, the timely briefings issued by the COP29 Presidency to counter these efforts, and the measures taken in response to protect the integrity of information.
