The “For Azerbaijan’s Truths” Coalition held a meeting with foreign intellectuals: international support for the truths about Khojaly and Karabakh.

Today, the “For Azerbaijan’s Truths” (AHU) Coalition held a meeting with Netherlands-based teacher and writer Henri Rens and Estonian artist Rovshan Nur, head of the “Buta” Azerbaijan Cultural Center.

At the meeting, the Coalition’s chairperson, Novresta Yusifova, who also heads the Karabakh Disabled Persons and Veterans Public Association, briefed the guests on the Coalition’s work. The Coalition’s coordinator, Irada Rizazade, chairperson of the “For Citizens’ Social Welfare” Public Association, introduced the guests and proposed establishing long-term cooperation and joint activities in the future.

In his remarks, Henri Rens said he has visited Azerbaijan many times and has written a book about Karabakh, which has been presented both in Azerbaijan and abroad. He added that he has also written a book about the Khojaly tragedy; it will be published soon, and its presentation is planned to take place in Azerbaijan.

Estonian artist Rovshan Nur spoke about his paintings and the exhibitions he has organized across Europe and other countries. He noted that an exhibition dedicated to the Khojaly tragedy was held in France and attracted significant public interest. He also highlighted that, through the organization he founded, various events dedicated to Azerbaijani culture and art have been held in Estonia.

Both guests expressed gratitude for the invitation and stated their interest in cooperating with the AHU Coalition going forward.

During the discussion, coalition members also took the floor, including Nadima Rahimli, Deputy Chair of the “For Citizens’ Social Welfare” Public Association; Gulchohra Ganizade, a member of the same organization; Mahluga Rahimova, Chair of the Disabled Women’s Society; Sadraddin Isgandarov, Deputy Chair of the Karabakh Disabled Persons and Veterans Public Association; Rasim Mehdiyev, a board member; Firuza Babayeva, a representative of the “For International Cooperation of Persons with Disabilities” Public Association; Ali Valiyev, Chair of the “Freedom Organization of Western Azerbaijan” Public Association; and Ahmad Rahmanov, Deputy Chair of the Independent Trade Union. They proposed various ideas for cooperation and thanked the guests for their efforts to promote Azerbaijan internationally.

At the end of the meeting, Henri Rens and Rovshan Nur were presented with the “Yerevan” photo album and the book Sweet Pearls of Western Azerbaijan.
