A new composition of the Public Council under the State Migration Service has been formed. According to the election results, Nadima Rahimli, representing the Public Union “For the Social Welfare of Citizens,” was among the nine candidates who secured the legally required majority of votes.
The Public Council works on discussing migration-related issues, preparing relevant proposals, improving draft laws, studying public opinion, and ensuring public oversight of the Service’s activities. The Council’s term of office is two years, in accordance with the Law on “Public Participation.”
