Member Organizations of the Global South NGO Platform at the Civil Society Forum Held within the Social Summit

The Civil Society Forum, held within the framework of the 2nd World Summit on Social Development, officially commenced today. During the opening ceremony, attended by UN Deputy Secretary-General Ms. Amina Mohammed, President of the UN Economic and Social Council Lok Bahadur Thapa, and President of the 80th UN General Assembly Ms. Annalena Baerbock, the crucial role of civil society organizations in the social development of countries and in monitoring the implementation of the Doha Declaration adopted in Qatar was highlighted.

More than 10 members of the Global South NGO Platform, established this year in Baku, are actively participating in the Forum from various countries.
