We present the interview of Western Azerbaijan researcher Irada Rizazada with SIA:
• Ms. Irada, as you know, Yerevan had a very rich national enlightenment environment. A number of higher and secondary educational institutions operated there, one of which was the Yerevan Agricultural Technical School. You also worked at that technical school as a teacher. What can you say about the history of its establishment and its activities?
• Starting from 1928, the major changes that took place in the field of agriculture simultaneously created a demand for the training and professional development of mechanizers, agronomists, and livestock specialists. Without this, it was impossible to effectively use modern machinery for productivity or to achieve the mechanization of labor.
In the early years of Soviet rule, mechanizer personnel were trained through short-term courses. The first such course was organized in the city of Yerevan in 1925. In the following years, similar short-term courses were organized and operated in a number of other districts as well.
